ABOUT BRADLEY

Bradley is a gentleman of great integrity, he would be considered accomplished, influential and very generous by people who know him but he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His success is the result of a lifetime of hard work and conscientious decision making.  Bradley is the oldest of five children, he was nine years old when he became the man of the house when his Mum was left to raise five children on her own.  Life was tough for his young Mum, at times having to rely on charities to put meals on the table.  In 1977 Bradley’s Mother, Grandmother, Uncles and Aunts sold their homes and bought into the Bundaberg Hotel, a game changer for the entire family.

Living at the hotel, Bradley had jobs to do around the pub including cleaning bathrooms and working in the bottle shop alongside his Uncles, all before he reached his teens.  Bradley learned the DJ trade at the Bundy and at just 16 years old he set up his first business, a mobile DJ & Disco service.  Bradley spent his weekends doing blue light & school discos, proms, weddings & parties while he was completing grade 12 and during his years at university studying to be an Accountant.  It was the 80’s and business was good, it enabled him to contribute financially to his Mum, who after living and working and raising her children at the Bundy Hotel for five years had bought a small three bedroom home in Millbank for the six of them.

Bradley grew up understanding the value of money and its power to change circumstances. He became an Accountant so he could continue supporting his family and to empower other people and businesses to thrive financially.  More than thirty years running his successful accounting firm DGZ Chartered Accountants there are many clients who would attest to his success in this endeavour.

What Bradley values most is family, he has been married to Donna for 35 years, she is a well-known dance teacher who juggled work with raising their four very active, high achieving children who have all moved on to their various careers.  Bradley has always been generous with his money and his time, sponsoring and volunteering at many clubs and organisations – mostly AFL, cricket and tennis.  His most notable being his lifelong involvement at Brothers Bulldogs AFC where he was bestowed a life membership for his service to the club and the sport.   He has received regional and state awards in recognition of his volunteer work.  Decades of coaching, mentoring and supporting young players is a testament to his generous spirit and sense of duty to others.
